Tennis Season 2016
Welcome to the 2016 tennis season at Denby Dale Tennis Club. The all-weather courts have been used over the winter and Ladies and Men’s sessions have been well attended over the past few weeks.
Junior tennis and adult coaching will continue under the guidance of Gillian Kilner (Coach at Holmfirth Tennis Club).
Membership and Fundraising
The 2016 membership application form is available on the right of this page for you to complete and return to the Membership Secretary, Karen Seddon either by post to 6 Greenside, Denby Dale, Huddersfield, HD8 8QY or by email to email@example.com.
The fees have remained the same as 2015 apart from junior/intermediate memberships which have increased slightly to reflect the additional week’s coaching (11 sessions instead of 10). Remittances can be by cheque (payable to Denby Dale Tennis Club Ltd) or by bank transfer (Denby Dale Tennis Club Ltd. HSBC. Sort Code 40-27-15; Acc/No 54449339).
We would like to contact members on a regular basis and would be grateful if you could provide us with an email address and mobile number if you have them.
As usual we remind you that the Club is entitled to claim back tax from HM Treasury under the Gift Aid Scheme for any donations it receives. This reclaim amounts to £2.50 for every £10 donation made. We can also make a similar claim for mileage or other expenses donated to the Club.
If you shop online, please go via the easyfundraising.org.uk website and name Denby Dale Tennis Club as the recipient organization.
The padlock code on the gate to the courts will be changed by April 27th 2016. You will be advised of the new code when you renew your membership.
Social and other events
Various events are being planned for the coming season. Please check this website and the notice board in the clubhouse for details of social, junior and other events.
Helping at the Club
The Club is run by volunteers so we would appreciate any help that you can offer such as assisting with working parties, general court maintenance, supervisory duties with Juniors, fund-raising etc. With this request in mind please note that pre-season working parties will commence on Saturday 9 April (Saturday 15 April if we get rained off on the 9th). Please come along and help – many hands make light work.
We look forward to welcoming you back to the Club for the 2016 season.
